When I tell people that I attend graduate school online, there are always mixed reviews. Some respond with "Oh, I could never do that", while others think it's the best idea they've heard in a long time. Before I really considered MSPP, I was in the former category, but now that I'm here, with a few months under my belt, I'm thankful I can say I'm in the latter.

You've all heard the reasons that I ended up at MSPP, but here's the update to that story: I'm happy here.

Before starting at MSPP, I was pretty sure that Student Affairs was the field that I wanted to go into. At the same time, though, for being fresh out of my undergrad and 22, it was a pretty big step to jump right into a graduate program, investing time and money in a specialized degree. To be honest, it scared me. But the information that we've been learning in my online Higher Education courses has been interesting and relevant and through the excitement that the professors convey for their field, I'm getting excited too.

I'm loving the online aspect of this program as well. Life as a 22 year old newlywed is busy. There are multiple jobs to juggle, a boy roommate to get used to, and just general work to do. With this awesome online program, I can fit in my homework when I have time. There are due dates and expectations, of course, but I don't have to go to class at a certain time every day, nor do I have homework to do every single night. I can fit my field project when it works for me and my supervisor and there's no pressure for next day submissions.

Lastly, the faculty and staff at MSPP are the icing on the cake. My advisor, my project supervisor, and all of my professors are kind, helpful, and constantly reaching out to see how things are going for me. They're willing to answer any questions I have, they e-mail me if I forget about an assignment that's due later that night, and they're quick to give feedback on assignments.

Learning online through MSPP was something that I hadn't considered in my short search for grad schools. I'd given up on the idea of school, blaming my busy summer of graduating and getting married, but when the dust had settled, MSPP was there, ready to accept me. The application and enrollment process was easy and I felt confident in the program as it started. Now, a few months later, I'm here to say that I'm still confident in the program. Higher Education: Student Personnel Administration online is the perfect fit for where I am in life right now and I couldn't ask for a better school in which to be enrolled.
